Americatel Corporation and Startec Global Communications Corporation have joined forces! The leading telecommunications companies serving the ethnic populations in North America by providing quality and cost-effective communications services from the U.S. and Canada to South America, Asia, Russia, the Middle East and Europe were merged on April 30th, 2009.

The combined companies, operating under the Americatel Corporation name, will continue to offer its customers a full array of telecommunications services including voice, data and Internet access through its state-of-the art facilities-based infrastructure. Services will continue to be offered under the Americatel®, Startec®, Teligent® and Vancouver Telephone Company® brand names that customers have come to know and trust.

Americatel is headquartered in Rockville, Maryland and has offices and facilities in Rockville, New York, Miami, Los Angeles and Toronto. The company offers retail telecommunications and ISP services to residential and business customers as well as wholesale telecommunications services to other carriers.
