Director – Key Accounts Retail Sales – Remote

Location: Flexible, Metro Park, NJ

Job Summary:

In this role, the Director – Key Accounts Retail Sales is responsible for achieving sales targets, driving customer delight, and managing a number of different channel customers within the retail segment. The role will lead initiatives for the sales and marketing functions while driving integration with customer service, business development, manufacturing and operations with a focus on growing sales. The Director – Key Accounts will be a key contributor to sourcing new opportunities and partnerships within the USA accounts and is a key member of Teligent’s Commercial Operations.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Key contact for wholesale source programs, retail chain accounts, distributors, GPOS and other
  • Responsible for growing sales and selling strategy within Pharmacy channels
  • Exceed budgets including margin targets and profitability
  • Seek out new sales opportunities: find outlets to sell new products, and effectively manage short dated and long stock inventory
  • Lead marketing efforts to drive Teligent awareness
  • Collect and act on competitive information to drive business opportunities
  • Prepare and complete business updates and quarterly reviews with customer focused presentations
  • Prepare and work within an expense budget allocated to the Region
  • Organize and execute trade shows, public events, and communication
  • Participate in professional association committees as necessary
  • Flexibility and comfort with change is expected as responsibilities will fluctuate and vary over time
  • Requires use of Systems Applications Products audit tools
  • Frequent, open, clear, and effective communication, verbally and written, with peers is essential and expected
  • Other duties as requested

Core Competencies:

  • 3-5 years’ experience selling in the USA Retail Chain market
  • Solid understanding of generic pharmaceutical industry, retail channel segments, and of government regulations, restrictions and policies
  • Previous experience and knowledge in managing and calling on source programs
  • Well versed in sales and marketing techniques
  • Experience creating and managing budgets and expenses
  • Ability to interpret market dynamics, create sales plans, and execute accordingly
  • Self-starter who embraces change
  • Strong work ethic and problem-solving ability
  • Dynamic oral and written communication
  • Ability to manipulate, analyze, and interpret sales data
  • High learning ability, agility, prompt follow up, and attention to detail
  • Bachelor’s Degree from leading University
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products
